Formula Woman Newsletter - 9th September

With the First Assessments at Anglesey fast approaching on the 19th and 20thSeptember, those of you attending Anglesey will be pleased to know your final instructions are on their way via email.

ASSESSMENT 1 & 2 – ANGLESEY

Here are a few important points for all competitors attending Anglesey;

  • Your final instructions should be with you by the weekend. If you don’t receive them please check your junk mail first before contacting us.

  • There will be clear instructions and three forms, which you must read carefully, sign, print and bring with you to the assessment. These are standard indemnity forms and a TV release form.

  • Don’t forget to bring a valid driving licence to signing on.

  • Don’t forget to bring your membership access and lanyard.

  • If you are late for signing on, you may miss one of the tests.

  • We advise you go on to the Formula Woman portal and revise both the on line tutorial and the health and fitness programme.

  • Friends and family are not allowed into the Formula Woman sign on and assessment areas, however, there are spectator areas and a separate café for food and drink.

  • Mobile phones and any other recording equipment are not allowed in the assessment area.

  • Javelin Track Days have created an opportunity for a track day experience (javelintrackdays.co.uk) and we have supplied a Jaguar Project 8 and race driver for passenger hot laps. (Book on the day)

  • If you have been active with your own social media and local media please bring details with you to show our media team.

PRE-ASSESSMENT TRACK DAYS

Due to the huge success of recent track days for competitors, we have organised further days with Javelin Track Days after the Anglesey assessments. The next available one is Donington on the 29th September and several throughout the month of October prior to the next assessments in November. For further information please contact sam@f1.co.uk.

INDIA

India applications are coming in via Auto Guru and it is likely that the date for India assessments will soon be released and is expected to be November. Contact shloka@f1.co.uk.

NORTH AMERICA AND THE REST OF THE WORLD

Formula Woman now has applications from 27 countries across the globe. Any competitor living outside Europe should have been contacted by now to have your assessment day allocated in your own area.

However, some of the overseas applicants are showing interest in undertaking their assessment in the UK, which of course is possible (November). Two in particular have secured their own sponsors for travel and also obtained media coverage. You can actually compete for your own country!

For further details contact Edward@f1.co.uk.

IZONE

Probably short notice but there is one place available at Silverstone with iZone tomorrow due to a cancellation. Please contact Edward@f1.co.uk.
